“The smart thing is that we haven’t noticed any changes in our daily operations. Production runs just as it always has – only with lower energy consumption and reduced costs. And at the same time, we are reducing our CO₂ footprint. It’s a win on several fronts”
A/S Rolf Schmidt Industri Plast in Kolding is a well-established industrial company with over 40 years of experience in processing thermoplastics. With 50 employees and more than 4,000 m² of factory and warehouse facilities, the company is a key player in the industry – with a strong focus on both quality and sustainability.
In collaboration with KK Partner and our ReduceNRG solution, Rolf Schmidt has implemented a range of energy optimizations that save money and reduce the environmental footprint – without compromising production stability.
KK Partner has, among other things, set up control and energy optimization of the company’s existing compressor system, which supplies compressed air to production. Today, the system only runs when needed – and remains idle at night and during downtime. This results in fewer operating hours and significantly lower electricity consumption. Concretely, this has reduced electricity use by 120,000 kWh annually, equivalent to a CO₂ reduction of 16,000 kg.
In addition, KK Partner has connected production equipment and carried out ongoing installations at the company – focusing on both operational reliability and energy savings.
