The idea behind iLOQ is that intelligent cylinders can replace existing mechanical locks, keys can be quickly programmed, and a higher level of security can be achieved – all without major expenses.

S10

Cylinders and keys communicate without the use of batteries or cables. All information is transmitted through the chips in the devices, which are powered by "kinetic energy," meaning the electricity is generated by friction when the key is inserted into the cylinder. A sustainable solution that contributes to the green transition.

S50

The latest series from iLOQ, S50, is built on the same system and concept as the S10. However, this system uses no physical keys – smartphones are used as keys. An NFC reader is installed on the cylinder. Power and access information are transferred from the smartphone to the NFC reader – again, without batteries or cables.

Padlocks

Different sizes of padlocks, which can withstand all kinds of weather, have also been developed by iLOQ. These can be connected to the same system.

The price of the system is slightly higher than traditional mechanical lock systems and far less than fully wired access control. The advantage comes when keys are lost, stolen, or not returned. In this situation, the previous key is deleted from the system, and a new key is programmed. This ensures the high security level that was present before.
